Where Hunting Happens, Conservation Happens™
Throughout its 134-year history, much of what the Boone and Crockett Club has been able to accomplish has been the result of strategic partnerships. These partnerships have spanned across state and federal wildlife and land agencies, legislators and policy makers, other non-governmental hunter-conservationist organizations, universities, and business and industry. Trailblazers in Conservation represents a level of commitment from industry partners and others that supports the mutual interests of science-supported wildlife management and conservation, and hunter ethics and advocacy. Please support these Trailblazers in Conservation and their commitments.
“There is a vast difference between hunting and poaching and the Boone and Crockett Club’s Poach & Pay project aims to ensure that the public recognizes this difference, and that poachers meet the justice they deserve for their crimes,” commented Club president, James F. Arnold. “We greatly appreciate the support from industry leaders like Leupold to help us conduct the critical research necessary for this project and to help convey the message that the illegal take of wildlife is unacceptable.” Read the full press release.
“ATS is proud to share support for wildlife management and conservation efforts with the Boone and Crockett Club,” commented John Roth, a Project Consultant with ATS. “We are extremely excited to recognize our Trailblazer status with the Club, and we look forward to seeing the positive results that such a unique partnership will bring to both parties.” Read the full press release.
"The Trailblazers in Conservation mission is critical to the future of hunting and managing our natural resources," said Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops. "We're grateful to Boone and Crockett Club for undertaking this important initiative and proud to be a partner in developing the next generation of hunters and conservation stewards." “Federal and our other ammunition brands of CCI, Remington and Hevi-SHOT greatly value the Boone and Crockett Club’s extensive history of fighting for conservation and hunter rights, and their latest leadership in initiating the Poach & Pay project continues this tradition,” commented Federal’s Conservation Manager, Jon Zinnel. “We believe this commitment to finding the real cost of wildlife crimes and helping develop policies that will deter future crimes are essential to clearly show the difference between law-abiding hunters and poachers.”
"onX is excited to continue our partnership with the Boone and Crockett Club to provide our customers with access to the big game records, which is such a unique and historical data set," said Matt Seidel, product owner at onX Hunt. "Through the partnership, we are also working on new ways to view and analyze the data inside the Hunt App to provide more research tools for hunters." Read the full press release.
“SCI is proud to support the Poach & Pay program and to work with the Boone and Crockett Club in the fight against illegal poaching,” said CEO W. Laird Hamberlin. “This program will be critical to our efforts to increase participation in the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation and promote legal, regulated hunting. Hunters are the first line of defense against poaching, and SCI is excited for this important initiative across the country.” Read the full press release.
Ever since SITKA Gear launched in 2006, the company’s drive to produce high-performance hunting gear has matched their devotion to supporting on-the-ground conservation. Renewing their support of the Boone and Crockett Club as a Trailblazer in Conservation, SITKA once again walks the walk when it comes to supporting hunting and conservation.
“Conservation isn’t just part of our business and marketing plan,” says Trevor Stewart, SITKA’s community marketing manager. “It’s vital to the future of hunting. It’s not lost on us that it’s our responsibility to support and actively participate in the conservation of the ecosystems that sustain the wildlife we enjoy.”
SITKA Gear first became a Trailblazer sponsor with the Boone and Crockett Club in 2015, and they’ve been a staunch supporter of the Club ever since. “Our missions align with wildlife management based on sound science,” says Stewart. “The Club’s goals to preserve hunting heritage, encourage new hunters, and instill the ethics of fair chase are all goals SITKA is proud to support.”
In addition to supporting the Club’s efforts, SITKA launched a conservation grant program of their own in 2019. SITKA Ecosystem Grants aim to fund projects that improve the state and function of an ecosystem. For instance, SITKA recently partnered with the National Wild Turkey Federation to restore fire to the oak savannas of Michigan’s Huron Manistee National Forest. It’s good for turkeys, insects, plants—the entire ecosystem, Stewart says. Other projects fund chronic wasting disease research and mule deer migration corridors in California.

"YETI founders Roy and Ryan Seiders grew up chasing big whitetails and casting for red fish across Texas and beyond. For them, it was and is a way of life," said Hunting Marketing Manager Ben O'Brien. "That's why YETI is proud to support the Boone & Crockett Club and their efforts to protect and further the pursuits that laid the groundwork for our products. We look forward to a strong alliance that will push forward the conservation efforts of those who value our wildlife resources and fair chase pursuits." Read the full press release.
